ESP New 7/8 String Guitars

If there was ever a time to acknowledge how ESP listens to the needs of our customers, that time is now. While the typical 6-string ESP and LTD guitar models continue to grow in popularity, have been deluged with requests over the past year or so for ESP to add more 7- and 8-string models to ESP line.

New 7-String Guitars
The LTD EC-407 is our classic “EC” shape in a 7-string version. It offers a set-neck construction at 25.5" scale; a mahogany body with maple top; a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and a thin U neck contour with 24 XJ frets. The EC-407 offers black satin hardware, Grover tuners, and EMG 81-7 (bridge) / 707 (neck) active pickups. Available finishes are BLKS (Black Satin) and SWS (Snow White Satin).
 V-307
 EX-307
As their names imply, the LTD EX-307 and V-307 are 7-string versions of our EX and V Series guitars. Like the EC-407, they both make use of EMG 81-7/707 pickup sets. Like most other LTD EX and V guitars, they are constructed from high-quality tonewoods, with mahogany bodies, maple necks, and rosewood fingerboards. The EX-307 and V-307 both come in BLKS (Black Satin) finish, with matching black satin hardware.

New 8-String Guitars
In case you hadnʼt noticed, the world of music is constantly evolving, and new styles of metal (like djent) can require more than even a seven-string can offer. Thatʼs why weʼve introduced three new 8-string models: the new LTD H-308, H-338, and H-208. Based on our H-style body shape, the H-308 delivers high performance via a set-thru maple neck, mahogany body, and an EMG 808 active pickup set. The H-338, part of our new 330 Series, is a similar guitar, but has a bolt-on neck and includes our new ESP ALH-208 active pickups. Both models come in BLKS (Black Satin) finishes. The H-208 is a very affordable 8-string guitar in a BLK (Gloss Black) finish, with a basswood body, chrome hardware and passive ESP LH-308 pickups.
